Mehriar Aghazadeh Tabrizi, PhD, is a lead consultant in the Power System Planning (PSP) Group in DNV GL. He has significant experience in conducting power system stability studies, grid code compliance assessment, generation/transmission planning studies, protection system evaluation and dynamic modeling of conventional as well as renewable energy sources such as wind, solar and storage systems. Within the PSP Group, he leads the Power System Dynamics and Modeling team which is responsible for modeling, transient stability, NERC/FERC compliance, Voltage/Frequency Ride Through and other advanced power system studies. He also serves as an adviser for conducting steady state and contingency analysis. Prior to joining DNV GL, he worked as a Graduate Research Assistant in the Center for Energy Systems Research (CESR) at the Tennessee Technological University.
